Cancellation and Refund Policy

1. About This Policy

Prevy Studio is a business name of 1001206169 Ontario Corp. (“Prevy Studio”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a corporation incorporated in Ontario, Canada. We offer a free tier and a paid Pro subscription. This Cancellation and Refund Policy applies to all paid subscriptions and premium features and forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service. Because Prevy Studio includes a free tier in which you can build and preview your App Store preview videos at no charge, and only pay to export, you can evaluate the Service before you subscribe.

2. Subscription Plans

We offer one or more paid plans at the prices and on the terms set out on the Website. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.

3. Cancelling Your Subscription

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by emailing us at support@prevystudio.com.

  • End of billing period. Your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period, and you keep access to Pro features until then.
  • No further renewals. After you cancel, your subscription will not renew, and you will not be charged again for it.
  • Reversion to free. When your paid period ends, your account reverts to the free tier.
  • Auto-renewal. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. Cancel before your renewal date to avoid the next charge.

4. Deleting Your Account

If you want to delete your account entirely, you may do so by contacting us. On deletion:

  • your account and the personal information and projects associated with it are deleted, subject to our Privacy Policy and any data we must retain by law;
  • any active subscription is cancelled, with no refund except as set out in this policy;
  • you lose access to your projects, Content, and any exported files stored with us; and
  • any data cached locally in your browser remains until you clear your browser data.

5. Refunds

5.1 Our general position

Because the free tier lets you create and preview your videos before paying, subscription fees are generally non-refundable, except as set out in this section or as required by applicable consumer-protection law.

5.2 When we provide refunds

  • Statutory cancellation and consumer rights. If you are a consumer with a statutory right to cancel, such as the fourteen-day cooling-off right in the EU and UK, we honour it. For a digital service like ours, if you ask us to make paid features available immediately and we do, you may lose that cancellation right once those features have been provided, to the extent permitted by law.
  • Billing errors. If you were charged incorrectly, charged more than once, or charged after a valid cancellation, we will correct it and refund the difference.
  • Material adverse changes. If we change these terms or the Service in a way that significantly and negatively affects you, you may request a refund.

Other refund requests are considered on a case-by-case basis, and we are under no general obligation to provide a refund. For example, we will not normally refund where you did not cancel before your renewal date, where you have already used the paid features, including exporting videos, or where you chose the wrong plan, such as an annual plan instead of a monthly one.

5.3 What is generally non-refundable

  • fees for any period after an applicable cooling-off period has ended;
  • subscriptions where you have used the paid export features during the billing period;
  • renewal charges where you did not cancel before the renewal date;
  • the unused portion of a billing period after cancellation, unless required by law; and
  • promotional or discounted subscriptions, unless required by law or stated otherwise.

5.4 How to request a refund

To request a refund, email us at support@prevystudio.com with the email address on your account, your subscription or transaction details, and a brief explanation. We aim to respond within 5 business days.

5.5 How refunds are processed

Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method, normally within 14 business days, and may take additional time to appear depending on your bank or card provider. Where permitted by law, a non-refundable payment-processing fee charged by Stripe may be deducted from a discretionary refund; this does not apply to refunds required by consumer-protection law, which are made in full.

6. Promotions and Discounts

Unless stated otherwise, promotional codes and discounts apply only to your first billing period, and pricing reverts to the standard rate on renewal. Promotional codes have no cash value and may be changed or withdrawn at any time.

7. Payment Methods

All payments are processed securely through our payment provider, Stripe. We accept the payment methods that Stripe supports, including major credit and debit cards.

8. Chargebacks

If you see a charge you do not recognize, please contact us first at support@prevystudio.com before starting a chargeback, and we will work with you to resolve it. Starting a chargeback without contacting us first may result in suspension or termination of your account.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the “Last updated” date above shows when it was last revised. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you.
